Okinawa Iejima Island Tour
ONE DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR

Okinawa Iejima Island Tour
Iejima Island is one of our favorite places to visit and the Iejima Island Tour is the premier tour from Active Okinawa. It is also a WW2 battleground tour where it was major part of the Battle of Okinawa in 1945.
Our full one day Iejima Island Tour includes stops at beautiful beaches, spiritual sites, battleground sites, caves, mountains, and we top it off with a tour of the island’s rum distillery. You’ll be amazed by the natural beauty of this island that will leave you feeling refreshed.
You will climb the iconic Mt. Gusuku (or ‘Tacchu’ to the locals) and be in awe of the beautiful 360 degree vistas from the top.
Get on a bicycle and tour the rest of the island where you will see some incredible historic battleground sites from the WWII battle of Okinawa, including caves used for shelter and an old abandoned runway.
We head to the Northern side of the island where we take in the majestic views of Wajee Point and go past the varying colors of farmland along the way.
Depending on the season, we dine in at a local restaurant or provide a locally made lunch box for lunch. We also provide snacks throughout the day.
Don’t forget the tour of the Santa Maria Ie Rum Distillery where you will see how the rum is made and, of course, get a wee bit of tasting after.
Be sure to bring your swimwear to cool off too as we explore some of the beaches of Iejima island. (March-November)
We love a photo here at Active Okinawa and our guide will be your personal photographer. We provide you with all the data when your Iejima Island Tour has finished.
