ONE-DAY Sightseeing Tour AVAILABLE FROM ¥19000

Cobra Kai Location Tour in Okinawa, Japan (Season 3)
We have all the Okinawa locations from Season 3 of the extremely popular Netflix series franchise Cobra Kai, an offshoot of the original movie series ‘Karate Kid’. This full-day Okinawa Cobra Kai Location Tour will not only take you to the locations, where they were actually filmed but will also let you see the beauty of the UNESCO-ratified Yanbaru National Park in the northern area of the main Okinawa island. We combine the filming locations with authentic and real Okinawa when you’re taken on a truly Okinawan tour as you visit sacred spots of the ancient Rykyuu Kingdom.
We might even throw in an Okinawa River Trekking or Canyoning experience for one-half of the day if you are feeling a bit active and need to cool off.
Karate Kid Film Ideation and Roots
Your English-speaking guide will give you some insights into the area and let you in on some of the similarities and differences that happen when you mix the fictional Karate Kid and real life. As you already know, the filming locations for both the Karate Kid franchise (especially the Japanese Okinawan sequel) and Cobra Kai were mostly filmed in Hawaii, Los Angeles California, and a mall in Atlanta (Tomi Village, Cobra Kai Dojo, etc.). Discover what led to inspire the creators of Karate Kid and where Pat Morita (Mr. Miyagi) came back to Okinawa in the lead-up to making the film.
Daisekirinzan: Where Old Rivals Say Goodbye
As part of the Okinawa Cobra Kai Location Tour, you will enter the Yanbaru National Park where the famous rocks of Daisekirinzan await you, and can see where Daniel and Chozen, his arch-rival, say farewell before Daniel-San heads back home to his West Coast car dealership. We also take in the Mutabaru observatory where they shot the scene where Daniel Larusso (played by Ralph Macchio) overlooks the beautiful vista of Miyagi Island and Shioya Bay.
Savor Local Island Cuisine And Capture Memorable Moments
Depending on the season, we dine in at a local Okinawan restaurant or provide a locally made lunch box for lunch. We also provide snacks and drinks throughout the day.
Be sure to bring your swimwear to cool off too as we explore some of the lesser-known beaches of the northern area or the jungle rivers of the Yanbaru National Park. (March-November)
We love a photo here at Active Okinawa and our guide will be your personal photographer. We provide you with all the data when your Okinawa Cobra Kai Location Tour has finished.
